Design Board: Modern Rustic
I think I am officially in a wallpaper period…much like Picasso’s Blue Period. I love the combination of a very modern mid-century print with a rustic table. Thinking of the rule of thirds, where you divide the height of the room into thirds, I think this paper would look fantastic in the top third with the bottom two thirds painted a light tan. Crown molding could be added to divide the two as well as in a wainscoting detail, painted in white or even a black for the adventurous. Styled with a combination of modern furniture and farm style place settings, the wallpaper and the table become the focal points of the room. Shop the look below.
